Au centre : une impala, debout dans l’eau, cernée par l’invisible.
Autour d’elle, des piquebœufs à bec jaune, familiers, mais intrusifs.
Rien n’est dit. Tout est pressenti.
Ici, pas de prédateur en vue. Et pourtant, chaque trait pèse.
Chaque ombre suggère l’urgence. Chaque silence, un choix.
Ce dessin interroge le regard :
Qui la menace ?
L’extérieur ? L’intérieur ?
Et que devient la fuite… lorsqu’elle n’a plus d’issue ?

That of a hunted, cornered body that can no longer retreat.
At the center: an impala, standing in the water, surrounded by the invisible.
Around her, yellow-billed oxpeckers, familiar yet intrusive.
Nothing is said. Everything is felt.
Here, no predator in sight. And yet, every stroke carries weight.
Every shadow suggests urgency. Every silence, a choice.

Who threatens her?
The outside? The inside?
And what becomes of escape… when there is no way out?
